After the revolution, the Second Congress of Soviets consisted of 670 people. 300 of which were Bolsheviks and about 100 were Left-Socialist Revolutionaries who supported the overthrow of the Kerensky Government. Congress gave power to Soviet workers, soldiers and peasant deputies. This was disputed because the Bolsheviks had seized power illegally and the center and right parties walked out before a decision was made.
